Ford’s Model T
The world’s most influential car of the 20th century.
Aside from being the first Ford car to rule on China in 1913, this was the very first automobile ever produced by Henry Ford in the year 1908 to 1927. The car was named Tin Lizzie and the Flivver before it became the Model T. Of course, because the car industry before was not that highly-equipped, the Ford model did not wear the Ford catalytic converter yet. It was also the first affordable vehicle made by Ford and it is the car, they say, that put the US on wheels.
This was also the first car that uses the first Ford innovations aside from the hand crafts that was also included on the car’s design. It is the first car ever made by Ford that went into production. This was also the time where Ford decided to employ workers for the production of the said vehicle. The first ever model T was made in September 27, 1908 in their production plant in Detroit, Michigan.
It was also designed by the famous Childe Harold Wills with the aid of the two Hungarian immigrants identified as Eugene Farkas as well as Joseph A. Galamb. Other members of the team like Harry Love, Peter E. Martin, Gus Degner and C. J. Smith all collaborated in making the Model T. It started in 1908 but it was released and become famous from 1909 till 1927.
Henry have produced so many cars even before he started the production of the Model T. But some are only prototypes. Henry released the Model A and produced only a limited 19 cars of the model including the prototypes. Before they released the Model T, the upgraded version of Model N which is the Model S was the first one to be released. It was one among the most successful launches ever made by the company during those times. The American company later released the Model A instead of the Model U. The car company started with the letter A because, according to Henry Ford, it signifies the departure of the old models. And soon after the Model T vanished in 1927, the Chrysler Corporation released the Plymouth car in 1928. It was named the model U.
