Chevrolet Blazer

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) released a piece of very interesting news about GM’s very own subsidiary - Chevrolet. The institute hailed the Chevrolet Blazer as the deadliest vehicle on the road. The logic was based on its 2002 - 2005 statistics. The IIHS released that the two-door Chevy killed an enormous number of 232 deaths per million as registered vehicles built between 2001 and 2004. And by the way, we are talking about the Chevrolet Blazer here not the Trailblazer. I was just clearing that out for you might get confused.

"The study doesn’t really take into account driver behavior or how the vehicles are used so it’s difficult to really draw much significance." This is what the General Motors Corporation defense spokesman Alan Adler has to say on a press release from the Associated Press. The statement what somewhat the same as of the speech he said in 2005 when the Chevy Blazer was first announced to be the most deadly automobile.

In contrary, the Chevy Astro minivan was the noted have the lowest number of deaths amounting to seven deaths per one million vehicles. Perhaps, some Chevy parts like its performance parts for the Blazer are not done that well.

Just in case you want to know, the Acura RSX comes next to the Chevrolet Blazer with 202 death per million followed by the Nissan 350Z with 193. The Infiniti G35 follows the Astra as the least deadly vehicle on the road followed by the Toyota 4Runner and the BMW 7 Series.
