When KITT Returns, He Goes on Sale
Let us go back to 1980’s. Do you remember David Hasselhoff’s fictional television series “Knight Rider”? Well, who would ever forget the talking KITT? Well, not me. In fact, I was dreaming about getting and driving one when I grew up. That was what I said to myself when I was young.
Imagine a talking car? Where are you going to get that in the real world?
I thought I wasn’t real, but hey, I just spotted news on the net that says the KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand), the talking black Pontiac Trans Am T-top automobile which was the talking KITT is going on sale in California. Finally, my childhood dream is going to become reality at last.

According to the Associated Press, the car has undergone a full restoration and is now offered at the price of $149,995 in a dealership in Dublin, California.
The car which is now being sold is one among the four KITTs used in the TV series “Knight Rider”. And we all know that the vehicle has been driven by Michael Knight (which the character that David Hasselhoff plays). The car still looks the same - it does have the same red scanner light located on his nose which makes a humming sound.
However, it only hits 300 mph with many non-useful buttons inside. But the car got impressive interior and exterior parts. If that would be enough for me. Maybe if I was a fanatic or maybe a collector, I would go for this one.
The car is also composed of more Pontiac parts which made the car a good one to ride on everyday. According to the Kassabian Motors’ Salesman Johnny Verhoek, it has been a month after the new owner Tim Russo of nearby Livermore got it. Actually he has won it in an auction in San Diego around a decade ago.
Hmmnnppp.. Looks like my childhood dream is over. I will just wait until Russo decides to put it on auction again. Meanwhile, I guess this Honda I got will be my present company until the KITT is on sale again.
