Who said that the 70’s didn’t rock? For everybody’s information, the seventies defined the term rock and roll, hippies, and the power of independence! In this era, remarkable events took place and history seemed to begin again.

And speaking of power, it was the birth of a legendary car, Oh yeah! Pure American Muscle right here in the 1971 Dodge Challenge Hemi Convertible. Nothing beats the raging power of the 70’s!

Part of the Hemi’s history stated that before, the factory didn’t offer the Hemi engine in this car when it was new. However, the fact remained that the engine has been used that time though for some coupes.

During the year 1970, nine Hemi Challenger Convertibles were built. For 1971, only 71 Hemi Coupes were built and from that number, only 59 were 4-spped cars. The factory Hemi powered convertibles are not only near impossible to find they are priced accordingly as well. This car was made up by an enthusiast to resemble one of the all time favorite muscle cars ever produced.

The 1971 Dodge Challenge Hemi Convertible is a very special muscle car with, unquestionably, the most wanted after power pack that any muscle car has ever owned. It has an incredible look and it comes using old school Dodge parts with power to come with it.

Powered by the 426 cubic-inch Hemi with the Shaker hood and coupled to 4-speed gearbox with a pistol group. It has R/T stripes and R/T scoops in front of the rear wheels. The vehicle also comes finished in one of the coolest colors ever, Plum Crazy, with White interior and a White power convertible top.

The spirit of classic American muscle still lingers and continues to dominate the auto world. It’s a fact that everyone should know, because it deserves respect for it is a premium classic, a living legend, a genuine hall-of-fame component of the autoworld.
